We process personal data for the following purposes:
Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, the mandatory fields in the contact form (name, email, phone number and message) are technically required so that we can identify and respond to your enquiry; without these fields the form cannot be submitted. There are no further consequences if you do not provide the data.
When you access this website our hosting provider Vercel automatically processes technical data in edge and function logs, in particular:
Processing serves the provision, security and stability of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are processed in accordance with Vercel's standard retention practices (see https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy) and are not retained vis-à-vis us for longer than necessary for the stated purposes. The data is not merged with other data sources or used for profiling.
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, phone number, website, message) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data is deleted as soon as the request has been finally processed and no statutory retention obligations (in particular § 147 AO, § 257 HGB) apply, generally no later than 6 months after the last contact.
We use strictly necessary storage operations that are required to operate the website. Third-party cookies or comparable technologies (e.g. localStorage) are only loaded when you actively trigger a feature (e.g. submit the contact form, load the map) or when you have given consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cookies_consent | this website (first party, localStorage) | Stores your selection from the cookie banner | 12 months | essential |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google Ireland Ltd. (third party, cookie on .google.com) | Risk assessment when submitting the contact form (spam/bot protection) | up to 6 months | legitimate interest, loaded only on interaction with the form (section 7) |
Vercel Web Analytics / Speed Insights (identifier in localStorage/sessionStorage, no cookie) | Vercel Inc. (processor) | anonymised audience measurement, web vitals (LCP/CLS/INP) | session or up to 24 hours | only with consent (section 8) |
The legal basis for strictly necessary storage is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Optional cookies/storage access (e.g. analytics) are only loaded with your explicit consent under § 25(1) TDDDG / Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings; the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.
On the contact page we use the “reCAPTCHA v3” service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). The service is used solely to distinguish between human and automated input (bots) and thus to protect against spam and abuse. The script is not loaded on page view; it is loaded only when you focus on or click the contact form. In doing so, IP address, browser/device information and interaction signals (e.g. mouse movements) are transmitted to and analysed by Google. Google may set the cookie “_GRECAPTCHA” on the google.com domain in the process.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting against spam and automated attacks pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. Since 2 April 2026 Google processes the reCAPTCHA data as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). A transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible; it is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and Google LLC's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/about/.
With your consent we use “Vercel Web Analytics” and “Vercel Speed Insights” provided by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Both services are used for anonymised audience measurement and to collect technical performance metrics (e.g. Largest Contentful Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift, Interaction to Next Paint).
For this purpose Vercel processes hashed, short-lived identifiers; according to Vercel no cookies are set and no personal data is processed in a way that allows direct identification of users (see https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy and https://vercel.com/docs/speed-insights/privacy-policy). A transfer to the USA takes place; it is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Vercel Inc.'s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. Without consent these services are not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
On the contact page we embed a map from “Google Maps”, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is not loaded automatically; it first appears as a placeholder. Only when you actively click the “Load map” button is the content loaded from Google and data (in particular your IP address, browser/device information and any location data) transmitted to Google in Ireland and possibly the USA.
The legal basis for the transfer when actively loading the map is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG, given by clicking “Load map”. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Google LLC's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We use carefully selected service providers with whom data processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR) are in place:
Where data is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (in particular the USA), this is done on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and – where available – the recipient's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023).
We store personal data only as long as necessary to achieve the respective purposes:
You have the following rights vis-à-vis us at any time with regard to your personal data:
You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We will then no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You can submit your objection informally by email.
Without prejudice to other remedies, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority for us is:
Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Sachsen-Anhalt
Otto-von-Guericke-Straße 34a, 39104 Magdeburg, Germany (postal address: Postfach 1947, 39009 Magdeburg)
Phone: +49 391 81803-0

Automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR – including profiling – does not take place on this website.
